Description
The İnayetkavağı Pavilion is a suite located on the coast of Hasköy, Beyoğlu in Istanbul. When Istanbul opened, it was a large garden on the slopes of Okmeydanı. This garden sloped towards the shore.
The history of the suite dates back to the era of Sultan Selim I. The coasts of Hasköy and Beyoğlu gained importance with the construction of shipbuilding basins. This large garden and its gardens came to be known as the "Shipbuilding Basin Garden." While Ahmed I was in Adrianople, Admiral Kılıç Ali Pasha was ordered to build a palace befitting the sultan in the Shipbuilding Basin Garden, and the initial buildings of the palace were completed in 1613.
Fourthly, Murad and Sultan Ibrahim took an interest in the arsenal palace and expanded the palace with additional buildings. The palace, the fourth, was completely destroyed due to a fire during the reign of Mehmed and was rebuilt. When viewed from Hasköy, Beyoğlu, all sections of the palace can be seen. The lower floor of the harem section consisted of two floors completely covered with glass windows, and there were various buildings around the harem and pavilion sections. In 1730, a new Hasbahçe Palace was built in the palace with some renovations.
Thirdly, Ahmed occasionally lived in the arsenal palace and resided here with his harem after his circumcision ceremony in Okmeydanı.
After the Ottoman-Venetian War of 1715, the third. They presented large and valuable mirrors to Ahmed as a gift, and the Sultan placed these mirrors in various halls and rooms in the Arsenal Palace. For this reason, the palace was initially known as the "Mirror of the Houri Palace" and later became "Mirror of the Houri Palace."
The palace, which was in a dilapidated state in the era of Abdulhamid I at the end of the 18th century, was built by the Fourth. It was restored by the State Giray and remained in the hands of his descendants until 1923.
